With Isles going 3-5-2, rangers 3-7-0, Jackets 3-6-1, all in their last 10, it's nothing short of a miracle were still in the wildcard following a horrendous stretch of hockey. Huge game tonight with our wildcard rival. I'll be hammering the Over 5 on tonight's line. Weak goalies + desperate players = over $$

The saving grace of all of these wavering Metro teams vying for playoff spots is that none of them (Devils included) have been able to put together solid consistent stretches. It seem each team will win three and then lose four. Whichever teams (if any) can put together a solid couple of weeks in a row will get a playoff spot.

I can't really justify changing the forward lines like this. Putting pucks in really hasn't been the problem.

I think Rangers are calling it a season, honestly. The Canes and Jackets will probably be the teams that decide if the Devils can sneak in or not.

I miss the Wood/Zacha/Noeseni line.

I agree. Interesting to see how much cap space the Rangers clear up this deadline and offseason. Without Schneids the Devs aren't going to do much. Not fair to expect Hall to control every game. With Lack's and KK's age and from what I've seen thus far, I'd love to wrap this experiment up asap and try out blackwood or appleby. But Shero and Hynes have certainly won my trust over so I'll patiently wait it out.

If Seattle just filed for an EXPANSION team why would the panthers be moved to Seattle?? your logic is as bad as your team!

I agree. Interesting to see how much cap space the Rangers clear up this deadline and offseason. Without Schneids the Devs aren't going to do much. Not fair to expect Hall to control every game. Exactly. I'm not saying 28-31 yrs is too old to be a good goalie. But if you haven't shown much promise by that age, chances are you never will. There's a lot of back-ups that never get a fair shake, just wan't to see what we have in our system before any trade talks begin.

I really can't see the leafs trading for a goalie. Andersen is fine, younger and cheaper.

Ya McD certainly should garner a 1st. But I can't believe their asking price for Grabner and Nash. They are rentals......who would give up a 1st, D, and prospect for one of those as rentals?????

Canes are going more balanced than the lines they put out against the Kings. The lines will be different than what you show. That way your coach will have a harder time trying to exploit an easy line to play Hall against. Of course that means our 5v5 scoring will suffer but, it is already suffering. The question mark will be our starting goalie.

These two games in 4 days against y'all will be huge.

My thinking is the Leafs can taste playoff success.. The only goalie with the experience is Hank. I would do it if I was them. Its about winning the cup, who cares how young Andersen is, a cup win is a cup win. I hope they dont, but who knows.

Most teams have been working deals where they throw in a high draft pick if they sign an extension or make it to the playoffs/finals.
